Arbikie Highland Estate Distillery - Inverkeilor, Arbroath
Founded by the Stirling brothers John, Iain & David The Arbikie Highland Estate distillery is a genuinely single-site operation – the ingredients for all their spirits are planted, sown, grown and harvested within an arms-length of their distillery and using the mountain-filtered water which is taken from an underground lagoon on site.
AK’S Gin named after the distillery owner's father, Alexander Kirkwood Stirling. It is distilled using honey and wheat farmed at Arbikie along with black pepper, mace and cardamom. As farmers, the Stirling’s are fully aware of the importance bees play in pollinating crops. With wild bees under threat Arbikie plan to install their own hives to produce the required honey as well as pollinating the surrounding land. Coupled with growing its own Juniper, Arbikie places sustainability at heart of their operation.
Garnish with a sprig of fresh Thyme.
