Edinburgh Gin Festival -Traveling to and from The Biscuit Factory
The time has almost come for the troops to assemble and get down to Leith for The Scottish Gin Festival...
SO, we thought it would be handy to put together a wee travel guide for all of you gin revellers.
FROM PRINCES STREET:
Jump on the number 11 Lothian bus at the stop located between the Next and Zara store on Princes street (See below)
11 stops and 18 minutes later and voila! You'll get off at Bonnington Toll, Pilrig. The venue is a 4 minute walk from here.
Once you get off the bus, continue to Bonnington road, take a right walk along till Anderson Place, head up there and The Biscuit factory will be on the left hand side!
Single trip £1.70
DAY/NIGHT ticket £3.50
FROM SOUTH GYLE, MORNINGSIDE, COLINTON, BRUNTSFIELD, LOTHIAN ROAD:
Take the number 36 bus which travels through all these areas and get off at the stop at Anderson Place. The Biscuit factory is just up the road and on your left!
For all those at the other end of town, hop on the tram and get off at York Place. Then just jump on the 11 bus (stops at the other side of the road from the tram stop. 6 stops and 8 minutes later you'll be at Bonnington Toll. See above for how to get to the Biscuit Factory from here!
Too posh for the bus? You can take a taxi to the venue, one way will be £8-10!
City Cabs: 0131 2281211
Central Taxi's : 0131 2292468
For those trendy tech savvy people, why not get an Uber to the venue? This should be even cheaper than a taxi! Good way of getting home after too.
GETTING BACK INTO TOWN AFTER THE FESTIVAL:
We recommend getting the number 11 bus back into town from the Bonnington Toll Stop (the one you got off at!)
Bus times for getting back into town: 23:45, 00:00
For all the late birds do not fear, you can get the night bus service from here too N11 which start at 00:50 and come every hour!
Safe Travels everyone and see you there for some bloody good gin, food and music!
